I had a lovely and relaxing Christmas with my family.
We didn't really do anything but goof around on Christmas Eve. Josh watched Pirates of the Caribbean. I watched videos on You Tube for like three hours. We had garlic bread pizza and Chips and Dip. Then we tossed and turned in my parent's spare bedroom.
Around 11:00 am on Christmas Day, Keri and Shawn arrived. We chowed on an appetizer buffet of shrimp cocktail, roast beef and croissant sandwiches, dill dip, and cookies.
As impatient as I am, I quickly steered us into the living room to open presents. My favorite part was the stockings. I love them. My mom tailors the stockings to suite are taste. We look forward to it all year, and were not disappointed again. She gave me two beautiful necklaces, and a pie server! ....among other things.
Christmas is about spending time with family. It was wonderful!
My Amazon.com gift certificate was burning a hole in my pocket. This is what I ordered:
King Arthur Flour Whole Grain Baking:
I have been pining over this book for a month! It's the first on my list.
Hip Tranquil Chick: A Guide to Life on and Off the Yoga Mat:
I listen to Kimberly Wilson's podcast entitled Hip Tranquil Chick. She has an amazing attitude.
OXO Good Grips 26981 Potato Ricer:
Two words: Mashed Potatoes!
Silpat 11-5/8-by-16-1/2-Inch Nonstick Silicone Baking Mat:
This will bring my baking to a whole new level!
The Naked Chef, by Jamie Oliver:
Jamie Oliver= One of my favorite chefs.
The Vegetarian Epicure, by Ann Thomas:
I am looking forward to delving into this Vintage Book!
The New Professional Chef, by The Culinary Institute of America:
I wanted to get the older edition first, before I bought their latest.
Picnics in the Park: Moveable Feasts for Dining Alfresco, by Connie McCole:
Picnics are lovely.
The Body Shop Book:
For Skin Hair and Body Care. I have been eying this book for years.
Merry Christmas!
