Whew...

I have been really busy working on a paper over "The Yellow Wallpaper," by Charlotte Perkins Gilman. The paper is a commentary on the narrator's emotional and psychological victimization as the effect of living in a patriarchal society. Needless to say, this piece has been consuming my every waking minute. Since I have the grammar Nazi for a teacher, I was terribly worried about the outcome of the paper. However, my instructor took me aside after class and announced that he was thoroughly pleased. He said that it was a pleasure to read, and he wishes that everyone in the class wrote like I do. It would make his life so much easier. Whew.....

Even though I wrote every word of my paper, I must thank my editor, Josh. He really is a great source. He definitely helped me sort through some sentence structure and clarification issues.

On another note, I still have way too much homework. This includes a paper for art history over Frida Kahlo. I have come to love this troubled, beautiful creature and what her artwork represents. I am really looking forward to researching her and learning more about her art.

The Yellow Wallpaper is one of my favorites. I still have a folder with a printout of the text, with my "interpretation" of what the yellow wallpaper looks like drawn on the cover (from high school).
